The Synchrony Home credit card gives consumers financing options for all their home needs at more than a million, large, medium, and small retail locations nationwide. I led the design team for the Synchrony Home web site, which was an incredible experience. The brand guidelines came from the client, so I used that guidance to create a site that led people into the sales funnel. I created both mobile and desktop versions of the site.

Scientifica Illustration is a passion project of mine showcasing illustration, wood working and printing. I did all the illustrations using pen or graphite on paper. To create the finished product, I scanned the illustrations at a high resolution. The wood I use is a thin, naturally sourced plywood that is cut, sanded, stained and varnished. The finish pieces are printed, giving them beautiful effect. I sold these pieces at various art shows across the country, from small curated exhibits at galleries, to large-scale art markets such as the Renegade Craft Fair.

KONG is the company I am eternally grateful for. They gave me my first opportunity to work and develop my skills as a visual designer. As part of a wonderful in-house art department, my mentor and creative director worked closely with me to design the powerhouse of the pet industry’s visual identity. I had the privilege to develop and hone my skills in web design, illustration and typography through the course of many years there. When I left KONG, it was to pursue agency work and foster my own freelance business. My title was a senior designer/art director.
